CLINIC
Information
The Color Guard Clinic is designed for multiple levels of instruction for brand new or experienced performers looking to hone skills in flag or rifle. Over the course of 4 days, students develop a strong fundamental base of performance techniques, then learn how to create their own routines and build upon their skills after they leave the clinic. They are taught how to transfer what they learned to their peers back home.
Multi level of instruction
SWC's Color Guard Clinic gives new and returning students the opportunity to advance through the levels of instruction provided year to year. Three to four levels are offered based on enrollment/class size.
Expand your skills
From body movement, flag, rifle, and saber, students will be challenged to both expand on their current skills while learning new techniques in other areas of Color Guard.

Concepts
Instructors will emphasize a strong fundamental base of performance techniques. All students will be shown techniques in body movement, dance, and marching integration.
Leadership
The Color Guard Clinic has built-in section teamwork, discipline, and motivation to encourage leaders to work with peers. Afternoon electives will provide current or future leaders techniques and tools to help lead when they return home.
Skills
Students will have the opportunity to learn new skills through a multitude of electives and classes provided during the clinic. Students can choose to pursue dance, leadership, style shows, care/maintenance, and additional routines in flag, rifle, and sabre.
Features
Students will receive a digital copy of all routines and instructional manual. All routines are written and taught by our nationally famous instructional staff and are created exclusively for the clinic

CLINICIAN
Ruth Ann Medworth
Ruth Ann Medworth is a graduate of Indiana State University. She was the director of the National Champion ISU Cheer Team and also served as director of the ISU Sparkettes and Sycamore Guard. While serving as director of the Northview High School Color Guard, Northview has won two state championships and appeared in 26 WGI Scholastic World finals. She currently serves as a member of the IHSCGA Board of Directors, and the WGI Color Guard Advisory Board....

CLOSING
Ceremonies
For parents, friends, and directors, closing ceremonies will be held at O’Brien Field on the Eastern Illinois campus. Come and enjoy the performance and celebration of awards! Our in-house photography team will capture the moments and release all photos, free of charge, to remember the special day!
