Rose Craig Tyler

Rose Craig Tyler is a master’s student at the University of Minnesota studying wind band conducting. In addition to her work with the university, Rose is the co-founder and associate director of LadyBand Chamber Winds of Minneapolis. Previously, Rose taught middle school band in Wauconda, Illinois and holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Illinois in Instrumental Music Education and Piano Pedagogy. She was a four-year member of the Marching Illini serving as drum major for two years and served as the founding president of the Nu Xi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Rose has attended Smith Walbridge since 2010 serving on staff since 2012 as an intern, drum major instructional staff, and administrative staff. In 2011, Rose received the Gary E. Smith Golden Whistle Award and has her first class in all three styles.
